WEEK 5 POST 1

I choose to observe Subway and the Hungry Bear Deli, both are restaurants that offer fresh made sandwiches with the customers wants in mind. There are obvious difference in who the companies choose to target. Subway seems to try to market to a wider range of an audience as the Hungry Bear Deli targets a smaller audience. It was a lot easier to find Subways target audience because they have it listed on their website where as the Hungry Bear Deli did not. Subway listed that it wants to market to children because they find it important to make sure children have well balanced meals. Subways claims that their goal is to promote well-being. The Hungry Bear Deli just talks about how taking care of their customers is their number one goal.

There are noticeable differences within the websites. Subways website is more complex and has more information than Hungry Bear Deli. Hungry Bear Deli just has the menu, their contact information and the location on the site. It is clear that Subway has more money to put towards branding and marketing. Hungry Bear Deli is more of a family business where as Subway is a corporation.
