WEEK 16 Blog post 2
My social media use has changed drastically during the course of this semester. I learned that consistency is the most important part of using social media for business. I wasn't aware that blogs can bring in so much traffic. I plan to start a beauty blog along side my cosmetic brand and freelancing. This course taught me that using hashtags helps your post reach a bigger audience and it also can help brands notice your work.
During this class my instagram followers have increased. During the module: Expanding your reach on Instagram by using hashtags, I learned how important it was to use them. That module was the most useful for my business seeing that I prefer to use instagram for advertisement. I started this semester with 14K followers and I am now at 20.7K with using hashtags and being consistent. My interactions have also increased with what I learned, before I wasn't getting many interactions on my post. I check my interactions daily to see how they have increased. In the last 5 months I average 50.7K interactions on a post.
My view post has changed a lot after taking this course, I knew that social media platforms could be
used to promote your business but I wasn't aware that it can really bring in customers. The aesthetics and design of your social media platforms are just as important as your post are. I learned that you want to make your feed pleasing to the customers eyes and not too overpowering. It is important to make your websites user friendly. Branding plays a major rule in the success of your business.
I do have a better understanding on how social media is used to successfully develop a business. There are so many platforms that you can choose from that cater to your business. Finding your best fit is important because to me it made the process a lot easier and more enjoyable. Social media is a less expensive way to promote your business. You can reach different audiences for free and you also have the option to pay for better promotion.
Some of the tools that I found that interested me the most were the online streaming platforms, I will be doing more research on those. The email marketing is a tool that I definitely will be using. The Meet up groups is also another tool that I want to utilize. I think it will benefit my business to be around likeminded individuals with similar goals.
